TAPS Public Transportation  originated as a van and a station wagon ride service provided by thirteen separate Senior Centers and communities in Fannin, Grayson, and Cooke counties. An effort led by the Area Agency on Aging  to better consolidate funds and other resources to achieve more service and better efficiencies resulted in the creation of TAPS as a stand alone non-profit Texas Corporation in 1986. In the years since the incorporation, TAPS Public Transportation had grown into a system of more than 60 buses and/or vans providing in excess of 360,000 trips per year in a six county-wide service area.

There are three major concerns for the most public agencies providing transportation services; the first is safety, the second is quality and the third concern is cost effectiveness, TAPS Public Transportation goal is to achieve a perfect balance of those three critical elements.

We stand ready to serve your transportation needs!
